For many years, I wanted to take advantage of Microsoft Outlook® as a time management tool, but was frustrated because the courses I took covered only the basics, and none of the books I read went sufficiently in depth to satisfy me. My woes ended when I discovered Sally McGhee’s Take Back Your Life! Using Microsoft Outlook® to Get Organized and Stay Organized in 2005.
Isn’t it rewarding to see your clients react to their completed organizing projects? Some may need a little time to get used to their new organizing systems, learning where everything is and developing the habit of putting things back where they belong, but you can make it a lot easier for them to maintain those new systems by labelling containers appropriately.
I attended a trade show this week where the exhibitors were offering a range of products and services, including flowers, leadership development coaching, clothing, gift baskets, catering, magazines, and jewelry, but for me the most interesting vendor was Avery, with all their exciting new office products, some of which are pictured below.

One of the things that makes organizing fun is the wide range of products available. When giving presentations on office organization, I always reminded the audience that unless there is a corporate standard that dictates what employees have on their desks, they should choose things that reflect their personality and make them feel good, as well as being functional.
As you may recall, I recently sought the help of readers in tracking down my ideal paper planner. In response to that challenge, a representative of dotmine offered me a copy of one of their day planners, certain that it was the perfect match to what I was looking for.
