back-to-school

It won’t be long until school starts up again, and if you or your clients have kids, they’ll be counting on you to come up with a way for them to keep track of books, backpacks, electronics, shoes, jackets, and lunch containers — especially when there are multiple students in the household.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Mabel’s Labels Back to School Combos for students of all ages.

As a long-time fan and affiliate for Mabel’s Labels, I was given the opportunity to review the combo of my choice, so I decided to order Mabel’s Labels Little Kid School Combo.

I’ve told you before how much I love Mabel’s Labels, so today I’m going to walk you through the order process and show you exactly what the product looks like.

Outstanding Ordering Experience

Sometimes people are reluctant to shop online because they don’t want to get lost in a complicated ordering process, but ordering from Mabel’s Labels is both fun and easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Enter the name you would like to appear on the labels. You can have one line of text or two, with up to 12 characters per line.
  2. Choose from one of the 12 designs (they’re all very cute – perfect for young kids).
  3. Choose from one of three fonts.

Once you’ve done that, you just enter your billing and shipping information and you’re good to go! It took me less than five minutes, but to be honest, I’d peeked at the designs ahead of time, so I already knew what I wanted.

I immediately received an email confirming my order. I was told to allow up to two business days for processing and then another two to nine days for delivery by standard mail. Shipping is free within Canada and the United States, by the way.

Was I ever pleased when this neat little package showed up in my mailbox just two days later!

Mabel's Labels Little Kid School Combo

It probably helps that Mabel’s Labels is based in my city, but even so, that’s a pretty impressive turnaround time.

Excellent Product

Mabel’s Labels Little Kid School Combo includes extra-durable, waterproof labels and tags for backpacks, clothes, lunch containers, shoes, toys and other school supplies and personal belongings. However, the kid-friendly designs aren’t the only thing that sets this combo apart from the others.

Instead of the round shoe labels that come in the other two combos, this combo has special Preschool Shoe Labels which split in two – one for each shoe. This special design helps young children to learn left and right while matching halves of familiar shapes. Here’s a sample (larger than actual size):Mabel's Labels Preschool Shoe Labels

This one happens to be round because I chose the basketball design, but more whimsical options include a butterfly, a dinosaur, or the sun.

The lettering is quite legible on the Mini Custom Name Stickers, Tag Mates Stick on Clothing Labels, and Personalized Mini Tags, but as you can see, it’s a bit faint on the Preschool Shoe Labels. I’d therefore recommend choosing either the Classic or Rounded font, rather than the Modern font which I selected.

Other than that, I’m as delighted with the quality as I have been with the many other Mabel’s Labels products I’ve tried over the years. If you or your client finds otherwise, rest assured that they offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Not Just for Little Kids!

Mabel’s Labels offers school label packs for older children, right up to middle school, not to mention a wide range of labels for other uses throughout the home.

You’re very welcome! I’ve been a fan of Mabel’s Labels since they (and I) were a new business here in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 🙂

I’m glad you found it helpful, Candace! I bet some of your teacher clients would appreciate it if all their students’ belongings were properly labelled!

I never heard of them. They look so cute. I have lots of friends and clients with smaller children. Do you know if they ship to the U.S.?

    • Avatar Janet Barclay on July 31, 2015 at 6:35 am

Yes, they do – and shipping is free within Canada and the US. I can’t believe I didn’t mention that!

These are so cute! I can’t wait to order some for the new school year! I think I’ll consider putting our phone number or maybe Sam’s teacher’s name on the second.time. We did lose a few things last year and it would have been nice to have them returned. Thanks for the recommendation Janet!

You will love them, Autumn. You might even want to become an affiliate – unlike many others, they allow you to use your own affiliate link when ordering!

Those shoe labels are too cute! And I love the fact that the labels are waterproof – always a bonus!

I have heard of Mabel’s Label but I have never used them, I have a friend who has a label company, locally. I usually use permanent marker on solid items, and my son has never lost clothing at school. As he is going into high school this year I may have to re evaluate my labeling practices.

That’s great that you have a local contact! That’s how it started out with me, with Mabel’s Labels. I met one of the founders at a local networking event for women and invited her to be an exhibitor at a mini trade show our POC Chapter was holding. Then they participated in the vendor expo at the POC National Conference. And now they’re huge. I’m sure it has to do with their excellent products and the brilliant women who run the company, but I like to think I had something to do with it. 😉
