We’ve created dozens of websites for professional organizers and other clients. Here are a few samples of our recent WordPress projects.
Hazel Thornton of Organized for Life in Albuquerque developed her original website several years ago, using a do-it-yourself site builder, to which she later added an e-commerce component. When she decided to begin blogging in 2011, she set up her blog on WordPress.com, matching the design to her existing website as much as possible. After reviewing both sites, we developed a plan to integrate everything into a self-hosted WordPress site, restructure it to make it more user-friendly, and eliminate the added expense of the ecommerce system.
“I am thrilled with my new WordPress website! This was my first time working with a virtual assistant, but I learned early on that I could trust Janet to do what needed doing, and ask what needed asking. She was a dream to work with!”
Heather Shute and Diana Vela of Moving On are professional organizing and move management specialists, based in Toronto, Ontario. Heather made use of her design background to develop a prototype for the website, and Organized Assistant translated it into a custom WordPress design.
“Working with Janet Barclay was a dream. Her prior life as an organizer certainly made itself felt. Janet is as adept, detail oriented, timely and courteous in her web development as Moving On is with our organizing and project management. She has taught us about WordPress as we’ve gone along so we can manage on our own (most of the time!) Janet, we could not have accomplished this beautiful website without you!”
Details etc.’s original website was created in 2005, and no longer presented the image Cindy Kamm wanted for her Los Angeles based organizing business. In addition, she wanted to start blogging. She sent us her new logo and we developed a new WordPress site with a design that reflected her vision.
“Working with Janet was a great experience. I think we only spoke on the phone twice and communicated everything via email. She got what I wanted for my new website, creating a professional, user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing presence. I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely be using Janet’s services again to help me continue to navigate the world of Social Media.”
As Executive Director of Career Professionals of Canada, Sharon Graham needed a new website to showcase her products and services for Canadian career practitioners. Working along with Sharon to incorporate and adapt elements of her previous sites into the new design and structure, we were able to complete the project in record time.
“We are thrilled with our newest website and blog developed by Janet Barclay. Throughout the project, Janet worked quickly and effectively, identifying and implementing innovative solutions to address our unique business needs. As always, her understanding and ability to select the right tools enabled us to achieve all our development objectives – and more. Janet’s flexibility and ability to adapt to changes that arose throughout the project are commendable. I would not hesitate to recommend Organized Assistant to any business that wants a powerful and effective website and blog.”
As sister to Canadian author Kathy Stinson, Janet’s been looking after her website since 1999. The site has been updated many times since then to keep up with changing technology and design trends. This most recent version uses the Patterned child theme for Builder with a few minor modifications.
“The first site my tech-savvy sister designed for me was a freebie, but the money I have paid for her time and expertise every year since is money well spent. Janet keeps up with new opportunities for site development and is always responsive when I go to her and say, “I saw this idea on a site. Is that something we can do on mine?” If it doesn’t work as I’d envisioned it, she’s prepared to work with patience and diligence until we’re both satisfied.”
