Exciting Changes at Your Organizing Business

When I launched Your Organizing Business, it was a standalone blog. A few years later, I incorporated it into my main website, OrganizedAssistant.com.

Since then, I’ve been pleased to make Your Organizing Business into a valuable resource for readers both inside and outside the organizing industry. The downside is that there’s so much content here that it’s overwhelming. Even I have trouble finding information here sometimes, and it’s my own blog!

What I’ve done

I’ve recently launched a new website at JanetBarclay.com to promote my Web Design and other services.

It’s also the home of my new Maximize Marketing Blog, where I’ll write about website and online marketing strategies.

What does this mean for Your Organizing Business?

I’m taking Your Organizing Business back to its roots!

By that I mean that once again it will focus 100% on professional organizers and productivity consultants – yay! Because of this, my Guest Blogging Guidelines now say that all guest posts must be specifically relevant to this audience.

Some of the existing content will be updated and republished, and some will be moved to my new blog.

What does this mean for organizing and productivity consultants?

It means more content that’s specific to you and your business!

It also means more chances for you to be featured as an expert. In addition to the Professional Organizers Blog Carnival and regular guest blogging opportunities, I’ll be starting a new series of Organizer Interviews in the near future. If you’re interested, please drop me a line!

Any other questions about these changes?

Please leave a comment and I’ll be happy to fill you in.

A former professional organizer, I’m now a web designer and DIY marketing facilitator. I love helping others succeed by sharing the knowledge and insight I’ve gained through marketing my own business for over 15 years! When I’m away from my desk, I enjoy reading, photography, watching movies, and cooking.

  1. Yay! That’s great, Janet. Good luck with your back to roots strategy. We can easily get away from our roots over the years and deter us in a way we don’t necessarily want to go. Have fun with the process. I’m looking forward to the future posts. =)

  2. Congrats on the new and exciting changes! It’s nice that productivity and organizing peeps have their own special spot. =) I’d love to hear about your successful strategies for managing three websites and the content for each. Perhaps you’ll share in a future blog post? =)

  3. Your site and Facebook group are such great resources to a fairly new organizer. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and helping so many reach their business goals!!

  4. How exciting, Janet! It’s great that you’re streamlining your content and making it easier for folks to find what they need. Often getting back to basics is exactly what’s needed. Thank you for your continued support of the professional organizer community!!
