There are thousands, maybe even millions of websites that offer organizing advice on a wide range of topics. The Productivity and Organizing Blog Carnival archives alone contain nearly 3000 blog posts! While it’s wonderful that all this information is freely available online, digging into a good book can be a more effective and satisfying way to delve more deeply into a subject.

For that reason, I invited my readers to share their own blog posts highlighting their favorite organizing and productivity book(s), and wow – did they come through! They cover everything from bestsellers to titles few know about, and I’m sure their insights will inspire you to find your next great read.

The sponsor for this month is Sara Skillen, owner of the Coach Approach Training Institute. Founded in 2006, Coach Approach offers innovative courses and credentials for new and experienced coaches in the areas of organizing, productivity, neurodiversity, ADHD, and leadership.

Thanks to everyone who shared their recommendations for the best organizing and productivity books, and to Coach Approach Training for sponsoring.

The topic for the next Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival will be Best of 2024, where my readers what they consider their best blog post of the year. It could be based on the number of comments, social media shares, or some other metric, or it could be based on their own feelings about a specific post. It’s a popular yearly feature so you won’t want to miss it!

Do you offer a product or service that would interest professional organizers, productivity consultants, or their clients? Sponsoring the Best of 2024 edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival would be an excellent way for you to maximize your exposure! If this is a good fit for you, or you’d like to be a sponsor in 2025, send me a message.

All bloggers are welcome to submit their best post of 2024 any time before 11:59 PM on December 18, 2024.

I look forward to reading through these reviews. There are many good books out there on all things organizing and productivity. I love Matt Baier’s book “The Circulation Solution” when it comes to organizing, and James Clear and Charles Duhigg on habits and productivity, to name a few! And then I have a few friends who have written books, like “Unholy Mess” by Angie Hyche. So much good stuff!

Thanks for your recommendations, Seana! Of the ones you mention, only James Clear’s Atomic Habits was mentioned by any of the bloggers who participated. So many books, so little time… 😀

Per your prompting, Janet: As I posted in my blog (https://juliebestry.com/2024/11/25/whoopsie-what-to-do-when-your-week-doesnt-go-as-planned/) Monday, I have written about so many different organizing and productivity books. I hated that my little medical adventure kept me from sharing for this carnival, but between my post and the https://juliebestry.com/resources/books/ page on my site, it’s fun to match all the books my colleagues have written about with those on my site, and to see what else there is to explore!

Thank you very much for adding your links here, Julie. It’s fascinating to see the wealth of books about organizing that are available!
