Family History: Professional Organizers Blog Carnival sponsored by Laura Clark Murray & Organized Assistant

Did you know that October is Family History Month?

When I found out, I reached out to my organizer peeps and asked them to share their ideas for this month’s edition of the Professional Organizers Blog Carnival. As a result, I’ve been able to assemble this great collection of blog posts on a wide range of related topics including:

  • researching your family tree
  • organizing family photos, home movies and other memorabilia
  • creating traditions and memories
  • sorting through a loved one’s belongings

I’d like to thank everyone who shared their experiences and expertise, with a special shout-out to Laura Clark Murray for sponsoring this month’s Blog Carnival.

As you read through the articles, please take a moment to leave some comments and share your favorites on social media using the hashtags #POBC and #familyhistory.

Janet, I was so excited to see the theme for this month’s Blog Carnival! Thank you for including me. I blogged today about the Carnival at my genealogy website, Organize Your Family History. (http://organizeyourfamilyhistory.com/professional-organizers-talk-family-history/)

It’s always great to read your posts, Sabrina. I especially like that you’re the only one who blogged specifically about home movies!

As a professional photo organizer, I’d have been disappointed if you didn’t submit a post! 😉

I love this whole post! I was so hoping to be able to join this blog carnival and I had a few things I should have submitted. But I really want to keep using Ancestry.com to find out about my fathers side of the family. I started but it’s really something you have to schedule time for because it’s very easy to become immersed! Thanks for the great series and I can’t wait to check it all out!

I’ve always found it to be a fascinating topic, and this carnival has really piqued my interest. Good luck on your research!
