I took a look through the directory, Janet, and it is terrific. I need some guidance before I sign up so let’s find a time to chat.
That would be great, Diane! Feel free to schedule something here!
This is an exciting business development. How will you promote the directory, and to what audience? How do you see it differently from other directories (like NAPO or ICD)? I am interested.
Those are excellent questions, Linda. I’ll be promoting it mainly through email and social media. Although a large number of my subscribers and followers are organizing pros, many are not, and I believe there’s something here for everyone.
Directories like NAPO and ICD are different because they require membership to be listed. Although there are tons of advantages to belonging to such associations, this directory will benefit those who aren’t ready to make this kind of investment, as well as anyone who who would like a backlink from a well-established, relevant website.
Nice idea, Janet! There are a couple of other directories out there, so like Linda, I’m curious about your target and reach. Also interested in the need to set up an account on Buymeacoffee. How did you settle on that? I’m cautious about establishing new accounts.
One of my colleagues runs a monthly co-working session. It’s free, but at the end she lets everyone know they can thank her by “buying her a coffee.” I’ve seen it on other sites as well, so I checked it out and found it to be very easy to use.
Good luck with your new venture! I think you’ll be a success. I’ve signed up and will let you know when I get some pings.
Thank you, Janet!
What an interesting way to expand your reach and support the productivity and organizing communities. My questions were the same as Linda’s and Seana’s, which you answered by the time I got here. Given that so many of us are organizing professionals who share your posts to bring attention back to our community, I was particularly intrigued to see how you’d be marketing to get the attention of people who aren’t actually in our field.
I’m so excited for your new endeavor!
Thank you, Julie!
