A former professional organizer, I now eliminate stress for my clients by hosting, monitoring, and maintaining their WordPress sites so they don't have to worry about security, downtime or performance issues. When I'm away from my desk, I enjoy reading, photography, watching movies, and cooking.

You’re using all the traditional marketing vehicles. You’ve got business cards, brochures, and flyers to hand out at networking events and trade shows. You’ve got a website, maybe a blog, and you’re active on one or more social networking sites. If only you could promote your organizing business in non-business settings without being annoying! Actually, you can!

Organizing themed T-shirts such as those shown above can be great conversation-starters, and are just perfect for getting together with friends, watching your children’s soccer games, shopping, and other casual activities. You just never know who’s going to come up to you and say,

Oh, you’re a professional organizer? May I have your card?

Many organizing-related T-shirts are available through CafePress, and if you don’t see anything you like, you can create your own custom design. You can even create your own online shop and earn some extra money by selling your designs to others!

You may want to add your website address or business name to your shirt, as some people who are interested in your organizing services may not feel comfortable walking up to a stranger in the grocery store to confess that they need help with organization. You should have no trouble finding a local business who will be happy to imprint or embroider items you have purchased elsewhere.

What creative methods have you used to market your business? Were they effective?
