Best of 2025 Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival Your Organizing Business

Since 2019, I’ve invited my readers to share their best blog post of the year in December’s edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival. This annual feature is one of my favorites, for a couple of reasons:

  • We can get to know the bloggers better when we read which posts they chose, and why.
  • Without a specific theme, there’s an amazing variety of topics – surely, something for everyone!

Please check out the bloggers who participated, leave comments on their posts, connect with them on social media, and share your favorite posts (or this one!) with your own network.

Best of 2025

Seana Turner

I'm selecting this post because it garnered the most responses from people in my life who I never even knew were reading my blog. Many people read blogs and never post a public comment. After sharing this post, many people whom I know reached out to tell me how much they appreciated the post and how much they could identify with what I had to say.

That made me feel like all the writing I'm doing matters, which made it a "best" for me!

Sabrina Quairoli

With 2025 being a busy year for all of us, I was thrilled that this post was well-received, and the comments showed a clear need for coaching and mentoring for small business owners. It turns out that visitors spent the most time on this page. In my personal life, I find myself easily distracted by all the new things and forgetting my priorities. So, accountability with someone else keeps me in check and focused. I am glad that this is the case for everyone.

Readers often ask "Where do you get your ideas?" and "How long does it take to make a book?" Here's the answer for If You Were Here, a children's book published this year that's going over well with adults too. The sampling of pages included in the post will help show why.

Linda Samuels

It's been a tough year. This post encourages readers to focus on change using a joy perspective. Change can often feel scary. However, reframing your thoughts and viewing change through a new lens can make a positive difference in how you approach things.

Natalie Gallagher

It highlights the versatility of spreadsheets as a key player in your arsenal of organizing tools.

Hellen Buttigieg

This post attracted a higher number of readers than usual. I think it spoke to a lot of people!

Debbie Rosemont

I'm a productivity consultant and am often hired to help people get more done, AND I love to focus on having/taking time to get the right things done - achieving desired results - and that doesn't mean just getting more done. Being busy doesn't equal being productive. Going faster or working harder isn't always the right answer to greater productivity. This post is really about that, so it's a personal favorite for the lesson it shares.

Carrie Cooper

I wrote this post to give voice to a quiet, often overlooked kind of grief that can surface during life and career transitions, especially when meaningful relationships end without clear goodbyes. Reflecting on my work as a Professional Organizer, I share how deeply invested I’ve been in the people I serve and how those connections shaped my own growth. Unprocessed endings can linger, but it’s never too late to honor them. By naming the sadness, expressing gratitude, and trusting God with the timing, we can find peace, acceptance, and a deeper appreciation for the seasons and people who have shaped us.

Julie Bestry

It's always hard to choose between more entertaining/philosophical posts and more dense/info-driven ones. I picked this as my best because it underscores how passionately I feel about people organizing medical billing and healthcare-related financial information. While not as fun or funny as I usually choose, this post empowers you to protect your bottom line, especially this coming year, with all the question marks and hardships associated with healthcare (in the U.S.).

Julie Stobbe

I like it the most of all the new blogs I wrote this year.

Janet Barclay

Writing it reminded me of many of the personal and professional connections I've made over the years, and how much I've enjoyed helping others meet people with similar interests.

Hazel Thornton

This was a tough choice. It was between this one and "Not all disabilities are visible". As much as I want to raise awareness of invisible illnesses, and got good feedback on that post, I also want to raise awareness that we're all related (if you go back far enough) and we all have more in common than we think we do. If you do nothing else, scroll down and watch the powerful 5-minute video I have included. Thanks!

Lisa Griffith

It seemed to resonate with a lot of people at the beginning of the year. I think many people look behind at the year they just finished and have regrets about what they did or didn't accomplish, so they look ahead to a fresh, new year for redemption! I wanted to frame that conversation in a way that asks folks to put themselves in their own shoes one year ahead of where they currently are to establish some goals for the upcoming year so they don't face the same regrets again in the next new year.

Thanks to everyone who shared their Best of 2025! Be sure to come back next week to find out who reached the rank of Star Blogger, Superstar Blogger, Megastar Blogger or Ultimate Star Blogger during the past year.

Get involved in 2026!

The Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival is one of the easiest ways to attract new visitors to your blog and put your work in front of a wider audience. You don’t even have to be a professional organizer or productivity consultant to participate – all bloggers are welcome!

I’ll be posting the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival topics for next year in a couple of weeks, but while it’s on your mind, why not take a moment to submit a post to January’s Blog Carnival, when the topic will be Fresh Starts and Clean Slates? If you haven’t covered that topic but it’s a good fit for your blog, consider writing and publishing a post before the POBC deadline on January 21, 2026.

Wow, I LOVE reading all the reasons people selected their “best” post of 2025. The reasons range from feeling good about the content, to the feedback they’ve gotten, to the importance of the subject matter. I’m touched reading these because it reminds me how much bloggers pour into their work, especially in your network.

You have gathered content from people who truly and deeply care, and that comes across in every comment.

Cheers to a wonderful year of blogging in 2025. May we continue to educate, encourage, and inspire one another and the world beyond in 2026!

This is always a favorite – the “Best of” series. Like Seana, I love that you included the reasons why people selected their “best” post. As you give wide-open guidelines, you leave it to us to decide what “best” means.

I look forward to visiting and revisiting these posts. It’s a wonderfully curated list of diverse topics. What a wealth of knowledge my colleagues offer. Truly honored to be among this group of writers.

Another reason I like this Carnival so much is that it lets people participate whose posts don’t always (or ever) fit into more limited themes. Happy reading!

I appreciate your thoughtful comment, not to mention how much you put into POBC, Blogging Organizers, and of course, your own blog. Here’s to more great content in 2026!

I look forward to this “Best of” post every year; the depth and breadth of topics and expertise of my colleagues is always so impressive! And you make it EXTRA compelling by include the reasoning behind why each blogger feels its their best. I know, for me, sometimes I feel it’s the writing, other times, the humor, and in years like this, the importance of the topic. I’ve only read about half of these posts during the year, so I’m looking forward to settling down and reading (and sharing).

Janet, thank you for all you do to support our profession, and I’m looking forward to the topics for 2026!
