Hi Janet, This a great list of resources on organizing the garage. Garage organization is needed for every homeowner. But, it always amazes me how many people don’t think it is a part of the home so they don’t organize it. It tends to be a dropping ground. When they don’t want an item in the house, they drop it in the garage. Thank you for including me in this post.

I know! It’s so common that one time friends knocked on our door, and when we answered, they said, “Oh, you are home! Where’s your car?” It was in the garage…

It’s pretty crazy when you figure the cost of owning a garage (20 years ago a realtor told me a house with a garage would run about $5000 more than the same house without – and I’m sure it’s even more now) plus the value of the car(s) that’s being left exposed to extreme temperatures, bad weather, and vandals – and all that for stuff that they probably don’t even need or want anymore?

    Hi Janet,
Darn, I am sad that I missed this Blog Carnival but maybe it will inspire me to write something anyway. I transformed my garage into an outdoor space to hang out in with friends and I have been getting it ready for some goddess women gatherings this summer. I can’t put my car in there though. I look forward to reading some of these posts to get me inspired. Yay for spring and summer!!

That sounds wonderful, and a much better use of your garage than storing stuff you need to deal with “some day!” If you decide to blog about your transformed outdoor space, please feel free to come back and leave a link to it here.
