Routines and Repetition - Productivity and Organizing Blog Carnival

If you want to get good at something, you have to do it often. This is true of writing and other creative pursuits, technical tasks like building a website, and probably most other activities.

This principle also plays an important role in organizing and productivity. And so, for this edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival, I invited my readers to share their blog posts on routines and repetition.

Maybe routines and repetition sound boring to you. I get it; I felt the same way for a long time (you can read about that in my entry below). You may think differently after reading some of the posts listed below, which include the rewards of routines and simplifying and practical tips on creating habits and systems.

See for yourself.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed to this edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival! Please show them your appreciation by leaving comments and sharing their posts (or this one) on social media, using the hashtags #POBC

No time to read them all now? Pin this post for later!

I’m now accepting submissions for next month’s Blog Carnival, when the topic will be Weekend Organizing Projects. You have until 12 midnight EST on Wednesday, March 15 to make your submission.

Do you offer a product or service that would interest professional organizers, productivity consultants, or their clients? Why not maximize your exposure by sponsoring an upcoming edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival?

Wow, so much great content here, and I love the variety. This is a such a great topic, with an obvious broad scope of subject matter. Routines and repetition can benefit us in most aspects of life. I guess this perspective isn’t surprising coming from a professional organizer LOL!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate and for including my post. What an incredible variety of approaches to creating routines! I appreciate the benefits of having them and recognize the necessity of changing things at times. It’s an essential dance.

You make an excellent point, Linda. Sometimes our routines no longer serve us, and we need to be ready to adapt as needed.
