Wow, Janet! You’ve done it once again. What a fabulous collection of posts about garage sales. Even though we just held one last month, I can’t wait to read all these great ideas from my colleagues. The titles alone are enticing. Thank you, Janet for providing this a common topic to share.

And thank you, Linda, for your excellent contribution! I am always delighted (though not surprised) to see the wide variety of approaches there are to a similar topic.

I think next month’s topic TRAVEL will be a popular one too!

This topic in particular is really fascinating to see how polarized people are about tag sales. Some seem to actually hate them and others see the value. Who knew there would be such strong thoughts on this topic?

Love the sound of next month’s topic: Travel. I can only imagine the awesome collection of posts that you’ll get. Can’t wait!

You’re right, Linda! I was expecting a lot of tips around organizing garage sales, and was actually started to realize how many professional organizers see them as a bad idea – and I have to admit they made some good points.

            Life’s full of surprises, isn’t it? 🙂

Thank you for the comprehensive list of yard sale articles.

I sponsored my own yard sale once. It’s a lot of organizing and work, but I actually made some money on it.

An organization I belong to also has bi-annual yard sales and it’s a great way for fund raising for nonprofits!

I’ve been involved in large fundraising sales too, and I think it’s even more important in those cases to have a plan in place for stuff that’s left over at the end.
