Do you have a back-up plan?
In this technology-driven era we live in, the word “back-up” might make you think about backing up your website or your computer. Those are very important, but back-up plans aren’t just for digital files! It’s also valuable to know what you’d do if your old family photos or important documents were lost or destroyed. Back-up plans are useful in other areas of life as well, whether you’re starting a business, pursuing a new career, or not wanting to spend your life alone, like Robin and Ted.
For this reason, I invited my readers to contribute their blog posts about back-up plans to this month’s Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival. Whether you’re looking advice for yourself or a client, you’re sure to find something valuable here. As you read the posts listed below, please connect with the bloggers on social media, leave comments, and share their posts and this one on social media.
The sponsor for this month is Geralin Thomas. The owner of Metropolitan Organizing© since 2002, Geralin helps organizers at all experience levels to achieve their goals through her one-on-one coaching and her collection of professionally designed, editable, essential business kits.

Thank you for including me in this wonderful post. And how timely. There will always be ‘situations’ in life. While many come as surprises, it’s great to have a philosophy for dealing with the unexpected. But in addition, doing some preventative measures in advance can also help. I look forward to reading the posts.
A backup never feels so important as when you don’t have one and you wish you did! What a great roundup of suggestions. I’ve read some of them, but look forward to tooling around to see what else I need to be doing!
Linda and Seana, I love how you both used personal stories to reinforce the importance of having a back-up plan. Thanks for sharing them!
I’m so looking forward to reading the posts I’ve not yet seen and getting a sense of everyone else’s take on this!
Janet, thank you (as always) for all of your support of the organizing and productivity industry!
It’s my pleasure, Julie! Thank YOU for all you do to support the Blog Carnival!
