Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival - Donating Used Goods

Spring is here, and millions are decluttering their homes of items they no longer want or need. Donating used goods is a popular way to keep these items out of the landfill and get them into the hands of someone who can use them.

To help you learn about the type of items that can be donated, who will accept them, what condition they must be in, and any restrictions, I asked my readers to share their blog posts about donating used goods. You’ll find lots of great information here!

The sponsor for this month is Geralin Thomas. The owner of Metropolitan Organizing© since 2002, Geralin helps organizers at all experience levels to achieve their goals through her one-on-one coaching and her collection of professionally designed, editable, essential business kits.

If you offer a product or service that would interest professional organizers, productivity consultants, or their clients, maximize your exposure by sponsoring an upcoming edition of the Productivity & Organizing Blog Carnival.

As you read the posts listed below, please connect with the bloggers on social media, leave comments, and share your favorite posts with your own network. Please use the hashtag #POBC in your social media posts.

I think how to mindfully and generously get rid of things is one of the top concerns my clients have. We all seem to find it easier to let go when we know that our belongings will be benefiting someone else. Thanks for gathering all these wonderful posts that are full of great ideas and tips! Fun to be a part of such terrific company.

Yes – I love that some of the bloggers focussed on mindset. I suspect that a lot of people seeking help in this area might not realize how important it is to the process of letting go.

It fascinates me to learn how many types of organizations accept donations of used goods, and the wide variety that can be donated. Everything from teaspoons to musical instruments to cars! Your passion and that of your colleagues comes through clearly when you write about this topic.
