As the new year approaches, many people are shopping for new paper planners or seeking guidance in using their calendars more effectively. To help you in your research, this month’s Professional Organizers Blog Carnival is all about paper planners. This edition of the Blog Carnival has been sponsored by Kate Martin, owner of Organized Joy and creator of the Joyful Business Planner.

For product comparisons, the pros and cons of paper vs digital planners, and best practices, check out these posts submitted by readers of Your Organizing Business. When you find something you like, be sure to leave a comment and/or share it on social media. Please use the hashtag #POBC in your social media posts.

Please feel free to share your own thoughts on paper planners in the comments section.

Next month’s Professional Organizers Blog Carnival will be on 2017 Conference Highlights, and submissions are now open. If you attended POC, NAPO, ICD, AAPO, or even a conference not related to the organizing industry, we want to read about it! You have until 7 PM EST on Tuesday, January 16 to make your submission.

    Hi Janet,

I love paper planners – so this carnival is really a carnival for me! I will be going through all of these posts to look for ideas.

Thanks for hosting and thanks for including me.

    Happy holidays!

I know you’ll enjoy it, Neena! I was happy to see your name on the list, and hope you can join us again next year.

Great roundup of authors! I use a paper planner, but I’ve never written a blog post about it! Part of the reason why I love it is that I simply don’t want to look at a screen anymore… somehow, the paper feels like a break for my eyes! I love the fact that there are tools for every preference and need these days.

I’m surprised you haven’t blogged about it! Maybe next year… 😉

    Hi Janet,
Most people I work with are using their phones for planning their day. I just haven’t been able to do that yet. I am old school and still love writing it down in a good old fashioned planner. Thanks

A wise woman once told me to “embrace my paper-ness”. I took her advice back then, though I’m currently digital all the way. I think the best system is the one that will help you stay on track.
